Good morning Doss Families - 

This week, we’re excited to celebrate friendship and kindness with Valentine’s Day parties in the classrooms on Friday, February 14th. For more details, please contact your child’s teacher.

In the spirit of Valentine’s Day, let our hearts lead the way to staying safe and healthy. As we walk, roll, and bike to school remember to pay close attention at the crosswalks and the crossing guard. HERE is a graphic with some crosswalk reminders. 

Last Friday was our monthly assembly and we celebrated the Lunar New Year. Our Doss Chinese Dual Language students shared the history of the Lunar New Year, followed by the 4th and 5th grade students reciting a Chinese poem, the kinder thru 3rd grade students sang a song, and 5th graders performed the dragon dance to honor the Lunar New Year. It was incredible! In addition to the Lunar New Year, we recognized our SEL character word of the month, HONESTY, and acknowledged some of the special, meaningful friendships that originated at Doss Elementary.
