Happy New Year Doss Families! I would like to extend best wishes to all for a happy and healthy new year. I am looking forward to seeing all of the students, teachers and staff back at school after a long, well deserved break.

Counselor Connection January 2024

Happy 2024, Doss Owls! We hope you all had a joyful and restful end to the year. We are energized and ready to be back. Our focus for this year continues to be Doss Blooms Kindness. As you are reflecting on 2023, and looking towards the new year, we encourage you to keep this mantra in mind.

Counselor Connection December 2023

For our final counseling lesson of 2023, in alignment with our No Place For Hate application, all Doss students will get to read the book Where Are You From? The book is written by Yamile Saied Méndez. It follows a young girl who is asked where she’s from—where she’s really from. None of her answers seems to be the right one. Unsure about how to reply, she turns to her loving Abuelo for help. He doesn’t give her the response she expects. She gets an even better one. After the story, classes will get to discuss the content, making connections beyond the pages.
