Good morning Doss Families -
A reminder that students will not attend classes on Monday, February 16th, Presidents’ Day, and Tuesday, February 17th, for the observance of Lunar New Year. This important holiday marks the beginning of a new year on the lunisolar calendar and is celebrated by many families in our community.
Lunar New Year, also known as the Spring Festival, is a time for family, reunion, and new beginnings. All our Doss Owls will learn about these traditions when they participate in the Doss Lunar New Year Celebration hosted by our Doss Dual Language students this week. All Doss Families, current and incoming students, are invited to the Doss Enrollment/Registration event on Tuesday, February 17th, 8am - 12pm. We will have computers available for enrollment in the community room and we will have our teaching assistants available to supervise students in the gym or cafeteria so you can complete your registration for the 26 - 27 school year. We hope to see you and your neighbors here Tuesday, February 17th.
All Doss families — including both current and incoming students — are invited to attend our Enrollment/Registration event on Tuesday, February 17, from 8am - 12pm.
Join us to complete your registration for the 2026–2027 school year. Computers will be available in the community room to support enrollment, and our teaching assistants will supervise students in the gym or cafeteria while you finalize your registration.
Please plan to attend and feel free to invite your neighbors. We look forward to welcoming you on Tuesday, February 17.

Les recordamos que los estudiantes no asistirán a clases el lunes 16 de febrero por el Día de los Presidentes, ni el martes 17 de febrero por la celebración del Año Nuevo Lunar. Esta importante festividad marca el inicio de un nuevo año en el calendario lunisolar y es celebrada por muchas familias de nuestra comunidad.
El Año Nuevo Lunar, también conocido como el Festival de Primavera, es un tiempo para la familia, la reunión y los nuevos comienzos. Todos nuestros búhos de Doss aprenderán sobre estas tradiciones cuando participen en la celebración del Año Nuevo Lunar de Doss, organizada esta semana por nuestros estudiantes del programa bilingüe. Tendremos computadoras disponibles en el salón comunitario para apoyar el proceso de inscripción, y nuestros asistentes educativos supervisarán a los estudiantes en el gimnasio o la cafetería mientras ustedes completan la inscripción para el año escolar 2026–2027.
Por favor hagan planes para asistir y siéntanse con la libertad de invitar a sus vecinos. Esperamos darles la bienvenida el martes 17 de febrero.
