Good morning Doss Families -
This week marks the beginning of October and October brings a new SEL word and a short week for students, October 3rd and 4th are student holidays. And responsibility is our SEL word for the month of October. Responsibility means taking action and understanding the impact of our choices. This can mean lots of things, but mostly it’s about choosing actions that lead to good outcomes.
October is Dyslexia Awareness Month and the district is hosting a screening of Hopeville: How to Win the Reading Wars on Oct. 10th. HERE is the flier.
Monday, October 14th, is parent-teacher conference day, so there is no school for students. Please sign up for a conference with your child’s teacher. Parent-teacher conferences are a valuable opportunity for you to meet with your child's teacher to discuss their progress and address any concerns or questions you may have. We strongly encourage all parents and guardians to participate. We value your involvement in your child's education and look forward to productive and insightful discussions on this day.
Doss has been blessed to have Pat as our registrar for 17 years and she has decided it’s time for her to retire. We are excited for her to take this time to enjoy life. During this transition, we have a sub, Jonathon Bergvall, to cover Pat’s duties and assist families with registration/enrollment questions.
Have a great week -
Principal Sheridan
