Good morning Doss Families -

During our school wide assembly, the Doss Student Leadership Team and the Green Team shared the importance of recognizing Earth Day, Monday, April 22nd. We celebrate Earth Day to acknowledge the harm caused to the environment and to remind all we need to protect the Earth. Wear GREEN on Monday to honor this important day.

This week marks the last week of STAAR testing for this school year. Thursday, April 25th, 3rd, 4th, and 5th grades will take the Math STAAR test. Please ensure students arrive at school by 7:30am so they can settle in their classrooms before we start testing. Students need to get a lot of sleep the night before and have a healthy breakfast the morning of the test. Again, we will not allow adults/volunteers on campus the STAAR testing day. 

Last weekend our Doss 5th grade Future Problem Solvers teams competed in the Future Problem Solvers State Bowl in Waco. They competed against 50 other teams in the junior division. This division includes intermediate and middle school students and the following Doss teams placed as semi-finalists. Congratulations! Way to shine Doss Owls!
