Good morning Doss Families -
The amazing Doss PTA has done it again by organizing an unforgettable Doss Hollywood Nights Daughter Dance! It was truly a spectacular red carpet affair, with excitement in the air and pure joy on everyone’s faces. Thank you for making this event so memorable for our Doss Owls and their families!
Last Friday, we celebrated National Cereal Day by collecting cereal boxes to donate to the Sunrise Navigation Center and TA Brown, our sister school. Before delivering the donations, we built a Cereal Box Domino Train throughout the building. You can watch the cereal boxes topple HERE. Thanks to our incredible community, Doss collected over 700 cereal boxes!
With just 4 school days left until Spring Break, Doss is celebrating with a “Hats Off to Spring” spirit day on Thursday, March 13th. Everyone is invited to wear their favorite hat to school!
This week is Austin ISD Pride Week (March 24-28). You may click the link to see the Doss Pride Week Letter. Daily spirit themes are Tuesday is Wacky Sock Day, Wednesday is Favorite Outfit, and Friday is Rainbow Colors by grade level or Doss spirit shirt. Family slideshow photos are due Friday, March 14th. In April we will begin the class making process for the 25-26 school year. I will be accepting parent input until March 31st at 3pm. It is not a requirement to complete this form. Please use this 25-26 Parent Input Form to submit your feedback.
With many Austin ISD students living in food-insecure households, the availability of healthy food may be challenging when the district is closed. Families can use the community resources below to find free meals in their area while Austin ISD offices and schools are closed for spring break:
